FriendFeed

I have been using FriendFeed since its release about 3 to 5 months ago. I don’t really know how to describe other than saying that you can import just about any social media content into it. Examples of social media would be things such as you blog, twitter, picasa, last.fm, hi5, tumblr, and many more. On your FriendFeed account, all the accounts you have imported will show content from everything you have imported. That probably made no sense at all, but you really have to try FriendFeed to see all that it offers.

Twitterific

Twitterific is a really good twitter client exclusively for Mac OS X. It was made by the amazing people at Icon Factory. I like Twitterific because of its simplicity. It is easy to use and has a nice simple interface. It can be free if you want a whole bunch of ads, but to get rid off them you have to pay $14.95. I strongly urge you to pay because they did a really good job in making this program.

Samson CO1U

Last week I got my first “professional microphone” which is the Samson CO1U. I got the podcast pack of of Amazon.com for 140 dollars. It comes with a stand, the Mic, a Shock Mount, the Mic, and PC Only software that really sucks. The mic quality is incredible and it has so far been the best mic I have ever had. It is the kind of mic radio shows use, as well as Chris Pirillo. If you are looking to do a podcast or any type of radio show, or if you just want a really good quality mic, get the Samson CO1U.

mIRC

My main machine is on a Mac and I use a client called XChat Aqua to talk on IRC. However, when I am using Windows, I use mIRC. mIRC is in my opinion the best IRC Client ever. It has a unique scripting language that allows you to write scripts and do pretty much anything you need to do on IRC. I primarily use mIRC for my bot on IRC. I script it all and it does all kinds of neat stuff. mIRC is free for a limited time until you have to buy a license for 20 dollars.

DockChanger

My friend, Dave King, told me about another cool App for Mac OS X called DockChanger. This app, which is free but can be registered, allows you to change the look of your dock. There are 3 things you can change on the dock: The main base of it, the App Indicator and the Separator. You can also switch between a 3D Dock and a 2D Dock. This is a really cool program and if you want more than just the regular old dock, get this program.

XSlimmer

If you are a Mac OS X user and you like to save space on your hard drive, you will love this app. It was brought to my attention by Dave King yesterday about an App called XSlimmer. This app allows you to scan through all your Apps and save as much space from them as possible. For example, you put iChat in it and say its already about 178 MB, then you run XSlimmer on it and then it goes down to maybe 8 MB. I saved about 2 gigs of space on my computer. It hasn’t even messed up any apps, so it is completely safe There is a free version that only lets you to do a certain amount and the payed version, which is $11.95, gives you an unlimited amount of apps do “slim”. You can find XSlimmer here.

I used to have a blog on my other site at gamerx287.com but I decided to start my own personal blog again on this site, which is pretty much my namesake. I hope to have some more posts up in the future. Enjoy! :D
