Webmin

Webmin is a web based system administration interface for Unix. It has a nice and simple design with many useful modules to edit almost anything in a server through that one interface. It is free and very easy to setup and takes about 3 minutes to install, if that much. I highly suggest it to manage your server if you can not afford cPanel. You can get it from this website.

StreamDesk

If you watch streams on Ustream, Stickam, or Justin.TV there is an easier way to watch them now. If you are lazy and do not feel like opening a browser and go to the website, you can watch it from StreamDesk. You can download it for both Mac and Windows. It is a widget pack with many submitted streams from the 3 streaming websites listed above. If you do not see one you like, you can always visit the website and submit it to be added. This is a great program with a nice and simple design, I am sure you will like it.

WebMail

A friend of mine who goes by the name easy_way told me about a cool universal Thunderbird plugin called WebMail. With this plugin you can send and receive email from AOL, Yahoo, MSN, GMail, and a few others. The cool thing about it is that you can do it all from your Thunderbird window instead of going to the web pages and doing it. You can download it and read more info about it at the website. Hope you enjoy!

Update: 9/20/08

As you can see I got my website back up. About 3 or 4 weeks ago, Hurricane Gustav threatened the coast of Louisiana where I live and we had to evacuate. My dad took my server and all of his servers to Nashville, Tennessee with us which is where the server now lives. I came back and was without internet for about 10 days so I couldn’t manage the server. When I did get my internet I came back and fixed up the server and found out that MySQL got hacked into so my dad had to go in and try to fix it. Now that I have it back up and running I am trying to get all the websites on it back up. Thank you all for your patience!
