Thunderbird

My first email client I have ever used was Eudora. I found it very useful until I decided to try one of Mozilla’s products, Thunderbird. It is a very nice and organized email client that is very simple to setup and use. When setting up an email account, it takes you through step by step and is simple for anyone to use. I primarily use it to get email from my websites on my server. There is a plug-in for Thunderbird called Webmail where you can even add accounts like AOL, Yahoo, Hotmail and many more. If you are looking for a easy to use email client with a nice and simple interface, Thunderbird is for you.

CrossOver Mac Pro

Sometime last week or so, Chris Pirillo did an update on Twitter about a website giving licenses for a certain piece of software out for free for a whole day. The software is called CrossOver Mac Pro and I got my license for it a few days ago. This software allows you to use just about any Windows software on your Mac without having to run in a Virtual Machine on a whole other OS. I think it works great because it works like a native app and runs through one of my favorite pieces of software I use on Linux called Wine. It is to late now to get a free license, but you can get it for $69.95.

ReadAir

If you are a Google Reader user, you will definitely love this Application. There is an Adobe Air app out there called ReadAir which is an app for Google Reader. It has a very simple purpose and design. It has all of your favorite RSS feeds and you can go through a large list of feeds and favorite them. It is very useful if you do not want to open your browser and go to Google Reader yourself. I really suggest you try out this app.

StreamDesk

If you watch streams on Ustream, Stickam, or Justin.TV there is an easier way to watch them now. If you are lazy and do not feel like opening a browser and go to the website, you can watch it from StreamDesk. You can download it for both Mac and Windows. It is a widget pack with many submitted streams from the 3 streaming websites listed above. If you do not see one you like, you can always visit the website and submit it to be added. This is a great program with a nice and simple design, I am sure you will like it.

WebMail

A friend of mine who goes by the name easy_way told me about a cool universal Thunderbird plugin called WebMail. With this plugin you can send and receive email from AOL, Yahoo, MSN, GMail, and a few others. The cool thing about it is that you can do it all from your Thunderbird window instead of going to the web pages and doing it. You can download it and read more info about it at the website. Hope you enjoy!
